Liberty Oklahoma Conference 2025 FULL Schedule

5:00pm – registration begins in the hall in front of conference room

6:00pm-8pm – Conference opens: liberty organizations from across Oklahoma will take the stage to tell you who they are and what they do. Organizations will include;

  • Moms 4Liberty, Eagle Forum, Teen Pact, Young Americans For Liberty, Homeschooling groups, PikeOffOTA/Citizens For Responsible Transportation, Mic Rosado, Garfield County Conservation Coalition

8:00pm-9pm – Meet and greet. Make new friends and find groups you want to work with and/or support. Snacks and drinks provided.

ENGAGING IN LOCAL POLITICS

9:00am-9:25am – welcome and opening remarks – why becoming active at the local level is important

9:30am-10:30am – how to become active at the local level (NeAnne Clinton/Dean Sharp)

  • what meetings should you attend, how to know when meetings are being held, what information to look for at meetings, how to engage your board, how to write a FOI request
  • what is a brigade and how to set one up for the maximum effect

10:35am-11:35am – how to become a candidate for elective office and what it takes to run a campaign (Holly Gerard/Bryan Logan)

  • how do you know if you should run, do you need a campaign consultant, who can you trust, how much money do you need
  • how does a candidate engage the community and what are effective strategies for running

1:00pm-2:00pm –– basic legislative structure and function (Dayna Mooney/Jason Murphy)

  • what is Oklahoma.statelens.org and how can it help you
  • how is the legislature structured, how does a bill move through the structure

2:05pm-2:40pm – how to interact with the legislature (Trenten Rippy)

  • attending committee meetings, going to floor debate, setting up meetings with your legislators, lobbying for your cause
  • how to contact your legislator, strategies for what do you if they don’t hear you

2:45pm-3:45pm – how do you vet a candidate for elective office (Kendra Wesson/Karmin Grider)

  • what questions do you ask to determine if they understand the concept of individual liberty and We The People, how do you read a campaign mailer
  • how do you find out who gave to their election campaign, why is this important

3:50pm-4:50pm – social media (Kristi Eakin Hall/Roberta Lewis)

  • how to share the information you find out with those in your community; Instagram/Facebook
  • Tik-Tok, Cap-Cut

4:55pm-5:55pm – using media to your advantage (Andew Speno/Katy Smith)

  • What the media does and how to make it work for you
  • How to become your own journalist

7:00pm – Dinner will be a plated chicken dinner with dessert. After some fun, attendees will watch the PikeOffOTA Documentary, “Turnpike Access Denied – Chapter 1”. This documentary will absolutely amaze and frustrate you into wanting to take the new knowledge you have to the Capitol to stop the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority in its tracks.
